Bonus

Autism is a developmental disorder that appears in the first 3 years of life, and affects the brain's normal development of social and communication skills.

This is the character in the movie "Dear John" who has autism. I think this little boy has autism, because you can tell by the way he acts, that he is very different from most other children his age. He has speech problems, and gets frustrated when he tries to have a conversation with someone.

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by a disintegration of thought processes and of emotional responsiveness. Symptons usually occur in early adulthood.

This is the character in the movie "Secret Window" who has schizophrenia, his name is Morton Rainey. The reason why I think he has this disorder, is because in the movie, he was very angry and emotional, and paranoid.

Cast a Movie!

Charlie Gordon

I think Will Smith would be a good actor to represent Charlie Gordon, because he's very good with acting out his emotions, such as sadness and anger. Charlie shows alot of those emotions.

Alice Kinnian

I think Kate Hudson would be a good actor to represent Alice Kinnian, because she's very pretty, which Charlie describes Alice as very pretty, she also has a sense of humor like Ms. Kinnian does.

Norma Gordon

Natalie Portman would be a good actor to represent Charlie's sister, because in most of her movies, she tries to be perfect, she even looks perfect.

Rose Gordon

Mila Kunis would be a good actor to represent Charlie's mom, because Mila strikes me as someone who could play the role to be mean, like Charlie's mom. Mila is also someone who could make herself look rundown, and unhappy like Charlie's mom.

Matt Gordon

Nicolas Cage would be a good actor at representing Charlie's father, because Nicolas is a very good actor at being serious and nice at the same time, like Charlie's father.

Dr. Nemur

Gerard Butler would be a good actor to represent Dr. Nemur, because he's a very smart actor, and he acts smart in most of his movies.

Faye

Brittany Spears would be a good actor to represent Faye, because Brittany is a very outgoing, outspoken kind of person, just like Faye. Brittany doesn't care what people think about her and neither does faye.\

Gimpy

Ashton Kutcher would be a good actor to represent Gimpy, because Ashton has a good sense of humor, and I just see him as the type that could play the role of Gimpy.

I wish......That my mom would have another baby.

Positive Characteristics

*I could have another sibling that depended on me.

*It could teach me to be a positive role model.

*I would have something to look forward to everyday.

*It would teach me how to take care of younger children, which could benefit my future.

 Negative Characteristics

*I would worry about what that younger brother/sister would become when they got older.

Are they going to become a singer?

*I would have to tell them my opinions on the bad stuff they did.

*Having to be there for them even through the hard times.

*Stressful

Flowers for Algernon

The importance of this quote related to the entire story is because before Charlie became smart, he thought that when his friends laughed at him, that it was a good thing, and it made him feel like they accepted him. But when he had the surgery, and became smart, he realized that when they laughed at him, they wasn't laughing with him, they was laughing at him, and making fun of him. After the surgery started to wear off, and the smartness started to fade away slowly, Charlie was right back where he used to be, thinking that if you let people laugh at you, without getting offensive, it will make them want to become your friend.

Charlie has changed at the end of the novel in a negative way, the smartness he did have from the surgery no longer existed. He was back to the way he used to be in the beginning of the novel. At the end of the novel, he no longer new how to read or write, the only thing the surgery left him with was memories from his childhood. He really is no different of a person at the end of the novel. He still thinks that when people laugh at him, that it's a good thing. I find the novel's ending to be tragic, this is because he wanted more than anything to become smart, and when he finally did, it didn't last very long. In the end he was left with nothing,  and he really didn't remember anything he learned. To me it was just a really big let down, I wish the novel wouldn't of ended that way. I was hoping that Charlie would be able to keep his smartness unlike Algernon. I also find the end of the novel inspiring, because it let's you know, that sometimes you are better off without the things you want in life, and better with what God gave you. The end of the novel taught me to be more grateful with what I do have, and to not worry about the things i don't have.

Flowers for Algernon

Charlie views friendship as the people who laugh at him. He thinks that their his friend's, but really their not. Instead they get him to do stuff, just to laugh at him and make fun of him, but really he thinks that when he makes them laugh, it's a good thing, so he continues to do what they say. I think charlie's only friend in the story so far is Gimpy, because Gimpy is always taking up for Charlie when the boys make fun of him and get him to do stuff. To be someones friend, theirs alot of things you should be...You should always be there for them, through the good and bad times. They should always be able to trust you and rely on you, they should know your always going to be there to back them up, and help them. When your someones friend, you should care alot about them, and like them for who they are, you shouldn't try to change them into something else. You should lead them the right way, and help them make tough decisions.

Personality Characteristics(:

My personality is the Gold color style, and it describes me in many ways. Gold's are hard-working and dedicated to their families. Their children are raised to listen to set rules and are taught a strong sense of what is right and wrong. They are well-organized and punctual, Golds thrive on regularity, efficient use of time, and predictability. Their work and nature are "as good as gold." Some characteristics of the Gold color style that describe me, is that I am prepared, I think ahead to be ready in advance, I get uncomfortable when I have to put off things until the last minute. I love to plan, I always see how one thing can lead to another. I am conservative and stable, I like having a sense of security, and I value order. I am most comfortable with a structured environment, I like to know what to expect and what is expected from me. I GET STRESSED WHEN THING'S DON'T GO AS PLANNED! My joy is to feel "in control."
Before I make a decision, I stop to think.... When I say I will do something, I will follow through and do it. I have a mischievous side that others are surprised to see when revealed. 0thers may see me as rigid, I never relax or allow others to relax or enjoy leisure. They may see me as restricted, unable to go with the flow, bend with circumstances. They may see me as stubborn, I have to have things a particular way, once a decision is made, I will stick to it even if there is a better choice. They may also see me as self righteous, which is when I believe my way is the "right" way. They definitely probably see me as uptight, I worry way too much, I never loosen up.

Quotes

Maria Robinson earned her BA from the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University.

This quote is a representative of my life because it reflects on how i can't go back in time and start something new, or that i can't start a new life. But it tells me that at any moment i can start today the right way, and start the rest of my life the right way, and make a new and better ending. This quote makes me feel like I have the opportunity  to do whatever i want to with my life, and that i have the opportunity to end my life the way i want too.
